I chose two e.l.f. polishes (again!)- Light Red and Black, as well as a long nail art brush and a medium sized dotting tool.
I started off with 2 coats (though I probably could get away with 1, the polish is lovely and opaque) of e.l.f.s Light Red.
Then I taped the black tip (I know CutePolish did hers free-hand, but I don't think I'd ever manage that!) and drew a line down the centre with the nail art brush. Finally I added dots with my dotting tool- I did 4 dots on most nails as I didn't want to crowd them (especially as they're quite short at the moment)
I love my Ladybirds! I think they're really cute, and I was actually surprised at how easy they are :)
Which tutorials are you inspired by?

Awww these are so cute! I need to grow my nails after biting them, think I may try this when they've grown a bit :)

Awww ladybug nails <3 So adorable, I'm adding this on my to-do list!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you :) I can't wait to see your take on ladybugs! :)

I do like ladybugs, I think they look best on shorter nails. I did mine, ended up with a dotty french one.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think so too, probably because ladybugs are short and stubby like my nails :p
ReplyDeleteI've just seen your post and I love it! I always like 'french with a twist' designs, now I finally have some tip guides I'll be trying it myself :)
