Chocolate Cake in a MUG!!!

Cake could not possibly be easier or faster- you can just about fit the whole cooking process into an X Factor ad. break (which I've actually just done) It's perfect for a sudden and urgent chocolate cake craving :)

You will need:
2 tablespoons self raising flour
2 tablespoons caster sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 small egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
optional: chocolate chips or any other filling

1) Place the flour, sugar and cocoa powder into the mug, mix it around to get rid of any lumps.

2) Add the egg and stir together.

3) Add the milk and oil, then mix thoroughly (yes it looks pretty odd, but it'll turn out fine!)

4) Drop in chocolate chips (or anything else) into the mixture but don't stir (they'll fall further down whilst cooking anyway, and if you stir they'll get stuck to the bottom)

5) Place in the microwave for approximately 2- 2 1/2 minutes (depending on the power of your microwave) until it's cooked through. It will rise a lot, but sink again once cooled a little. leave to cool for a minute before eating. YUM!

These are so yummy I really recommend them. It might be a quite dangerous to be only 5 minutes away from delicious cake at any point in the day though...

If you want to you can replace a teaspoon of cocoa powder with coffee powder for a mocha cake, or add dried fruit, chunks of chocolate bars etc. into the cake instead of chocolate chips.

I hope you enjoy the recipe, and that it doesn't cause you to eat way too much cake (I've heard that there IS such a thing, unfortunately...)
